Meet the team

Dr Ivan
Head Veterinarian/Co-Practice Manager
Ivan grew up in Singapore where much of his childhood was spent, together with his family, raising hamsters, terrapins, fish, Sea-Monkeys, and a dog. A Murdoch University graduate, Ivan strives to provide meticulous care for our companions, whether they've got fuzzy fur, slimy skin, smooth scales or funky feathers.
Beyond clinical work, he has devoted time to animal shelters in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand where he was involved in animal sterilisation programs as well as fundraising events. His veterinary interests lie in surgery, wildlife conservation and aquatic medicine. He is currently owned by two yappy dogs and a sassy cat.

Sarah
Co-Practice Manager/Veterinary Nurse
Sarah is a qualified veterinary nurse who has a keen interest in learning, behaviour and animal training. She strives to help create a positive experience in the veterinary clinic for all animals great or small that come into her care.
Sarah has been involved with dog training since 2015 and has recently had interest in wider animal behaviour and training. She continues to train puppies and dogs from ages 8 weeks and up at Petstock Bio John in Belmont.
At home Sarah takes care of her 13-year-old Chihuahua Narni, and in the future intends to expand her furry family to all sorts of animals. When Sarah isn’t in the clinic, studying, training dogs, or walking the pup, she partakes in many hobbies, including the recent interest in Volleyball.

Dr Clara
Veterinarian
Clara graduated from Murdoch University in 2021, where she developed an interest in general practice and emergency medicine in small animals.
She aims to create a positive experience for both pets and people, and to provide medical assistance to the best of her capabilities. In her career, she hopes to be a veterinarian that animals and her team can rely on to ensure best medical practice.
Her love for animals solidified when she adopted her dog Muffin. After 9 years, she still doesn’t know if he loves her back. Whenever she is not working, she can be found at her favourite dance studio having fun.

Sianna
Veterinary Nurse
Sianna joined the Cannington family in 2022 as a qualified veterinary nurse and has since adored working alongside her team to provide caring treatment to every animal that comes through the doors. She enjoys her many roles as a nurse especially surgical nursing and chatting with owners to learn more about their furry companions and helping them understand how to keep them healthy and happy.
She finds animal behaviour fascinating and is always learning and improving on the ways she can make the animals (and people!) in clinic as comfortable as possible and help reduce the fear and stress around vet visits.
Outside of vet nursing you can find her making a mess in her art room drawing environmentally inspired art, falling off her skateboard at the park or playing “find the treats” with her cheeky but adorable fluffy black cat Imby.
