Jo

Jo

Practice Manager
Since I was a child, my dream was to help animals. I started my wonderful fulfilling Veterinary Nursing career in 2000 at Gladesville Veterinary Hospital, where I worked as the Head Nurse/ Hospital Manager. After completing Certificate IV Vet Nursing in 2006, I have also done numerous courses in companion animal & wildlife, including reptile care.

My career has given me experience in all aspects of general nursing as well as chemotherapy, nuclear medicine, grooming, rehabilitation for injured turtles, and hand raising many kittens. In November 2020, I joined the Petstock Vet Dural team and have been enjoying meeting all the fur babies with their pet parents. It’s been a privilege to be able to look after and assist like-minded people and their pets – Pets are Family.

Anita

Anita

Senior Veterinary Nurse
Anita has been a vet nurse for over 20 years, after starting out in small animal practice in North Ryde. She then moved to Adelaide for 2 years, and back to Sydney where she worked at a specialist referral hospital as an Emergency & Critical Care nurse. In 2018, Anita started working here at Dural part-time as she is also a busy mum to 3 school-age children. As well, she has Grug the Pug, Batman the Black Cat, mini Max the Chihuahua, as well as a home zoo with turtles, birds, fish, frogs & pet rats.

The aspect of her job that Anita really enjoys is surgical nursing and also, she finds it very satisfying to clean tartar off teeth with the ultrasonic descaler and then giving them a polish & shine. She also enjoys seeing the not-so-common pets such as guinea pigs and reptiles.

Kate

Veterinary Nurse
I have been working in the vet industry for over 18 years but I still love seeing the exciting life journeys of the clients with their beloved furry family members (pets, not kids!). It’s often a rollercoaster - from the highs to the lows; watching them grow, learn, love, and crying tears of happiness or loss.

I’m a busy mother to 3 school-aged children so don’t have time for a pet, although I am a cat-lover at heart. However, if I had more spare time, I’d definitely be the crazy cat lady & have a houseful of rescued feline fuzzballs. At the moment though, I’m blessed to live locally and have an abundance of native wildlife at my back doorstep

Jeevi

Veterinary Nurse
Jeevi joined the team in 2023 as one of our Saturday nurses. He has completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience (Hons I) and a Masters in Conservation Biology. He has worked in the field as a farm hand, research assistant and volunteered in many animal-related placements during his time at university. Jeevi is currently studying for his Doctor of Vet Medicine degree at Sydney Uni. He decided on becoming a vet because of his love of animals and he is fascinated with learning about how the body works, whether it be in illness or perfect balance. Most importantly, he chose this career because he is passionate about providing the best health care for all pets. Jeevi has an interest in surgery and wildlife and would love to be a part of conservation efforts in his future vet career. In the meantime, he also dedicates himself to small animal clinical practice and loves seeing the bonds between owner and pet. He doesn't have any pets at the moment but is hoping to get a dog in the near future!

Veterinary Nurse
After studying agriculture at Tafe, there weren’t many options to work near home with animals so, I chose a veterinary career. I’ve always wanted to make a difference and with my love of animals, I knew this was a way to change animals lives for the better. Thus I began my studies and have completed Certificate 2 in Animal Care . I'm currently studying Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing. At home, I have 2 dogs, Bella and Riley, and about 30 chickens running around. In the future, I may venture into equine nursing but for now, I am happy with seeing lots of dogs and wildlife
